You did the session. You feel lighter, more de-puffed, maybe a little floaty in the best way. Now what?
What you do in the hours after a lymphatic body sculpting session can make a real difference in how long that lighter, more contoured feeling sticks around. The good news: the aftercare list is short, simple, and honestly enjoyable. Here’s what The Tox recommends.
1. Hydrate — Seriously
This is the number one thing you can do after your session. Your lymphatic system is fluid-based, and water is what keeps it moving efficiently. After a sculpting treatment, your body is primed to continue circulating fluid — but it needs water to do it well.
Aim to drink more water than usual in the 24 hours following your session. Herbal teas count. Coconut water counts. What doesn’t count: alcohol and heavily caffeinated drinks, both of which can be mildly dehydrating and work against the results you just worked for.
2. Move Your Body (Gently)
You don’t need to hit the gym hard after a Tox session — in fact, we’d suggest skipping intense exercise immediately after. But gentle movement is your friend. Walking is one of the best things you can do for your lymphatic system because the muscle contractions help pump lymphatic fluid through the body.
A 20-minute walk after your session is genuinely one of the most effective things you can do to extend your results. Even just taking the stairs or staying on your feet in the hours after your appointment helps.
3. Skip the Heavy Sodium
Your body is in a de-puffing, circulating state right after your session. A high-sodium meal is essentially working against that process by encouraging your tissues to hold onto fluid. It’s not a rule you have to follow perfectly — life happens — but if you can choose a lighter, less salty meal in the hours following your session, your body will thank you.
This is especially worth thinking about if you booked a session before a big event. Stick to lighter eating the day of and the evening after to maximize how contoured and de-puffed you look.
4. Avoid Tight Clothing
After your session, your technician has worked to support your lymphatic flow throughout the body. Tight waistbands, compression garments, and restrictive clothing can impede that circulation in specific areas. For the few hours after your session, opt for looser, breathable clothing that doesn’t cut into your midsection or limbs.

5. Rest If You Need To
Some clients feel energized after a session. Others feel a pleasant, deep relaxation — almost like the kind of tired you feel after a good yoga class. Both responses are normal. If your body wants to rest, let it. Sleep is one of the most important things you can do for your lymphatic system overall — it’s when the body does a lot of its circulatory work.
6. Come Back Consistently
A single Tox session can shift how you look and feel noticeably. But like most wellness practices, the results tend to compound with consistency. Many clients say their second and third sessions feel even more impactful than the first — and that maintaining a regular schedule keeps them feeling their best continuously.

What to Skip After Your Session
- Heavy alcohol (dehydrating, counterproductive)
- Intense cardio immediately after (give your body a few hours)
- Very hot baths or saunas (can cause further fluid shifts — save it for the next day)
- A massive salty restaurant meal

Q: Can I work out after a Tox session?
Gentle movement like walking is great. For intense workouts, wait a few hours to let your body settle. Most clients prefer to schedule their session after their workout rather than before.
Q: How long do the results last?
Many clients notice the lighter, de-puffed feeling for several days. With consistent sessions, many say the results build over time. Results vary from person to person.
Q: Should I eat before or after my session?
Either works. Avoid heavy meals immediately before, and try to eat light in the hours after your session to support the de-bloating effect.
